[x+1] is a member of the NAI (www.networkadvertising.org) and is in compliance with the NAI’s Self-Regulatory Principles which have been applauded by the FTC. We believe that these Principles will protect and ensure individual consumer privacy and have adopted the Principles guidelines and regulations.
[x+1] Data Collection on Behalf of Our Clients
In the course of delivering an ad to you, [x+1] does not collect personally identifiable information about you. In other words, we do not collect information, such as your name, address, phone number, or email address. However, [x+1] does collect certain non-personally identifiable information about you, such as your browser type (for example, Internet Explorer or Firefox), the server your computer is logged into, the type of computer operating system you use (Macintosh or Windows, for instance), non-PII from around the web and whether you responded to the ad delivered. The non-personally identifiable information that we collect is used for the purpose of targeting ads and measuring the effectiveness of ads on behalf of [x+1]‘s advertisers and Web publishers. This non-personally identifiable information includes:

Found in every communication sent over the Internet. Using this standard information, [x+1] can infer the following information: browser type (e.g., Internet Explorer or Firefox); operating system (e.g., Macintosh or Windows); browser language (e.g., Java or Unix); Internet service provider (e.g., Comcast or TimeWarner).
[x+1] can infer how you use sites and pages on the Internet.
[x+1] works with responsible third party data providers to enhance audience profiles.
What are cookies and how do they enhance your Web experience?
A [x+1] cookie is a unique number that is assigned to you the first time [x+1] serves you an ad. This number is stored in a file on your computer and helps us deliver the optimal ad to you. For instance, cookies help [x+1] ensure that you don’t repeatedly see the same ad. Cookies can also help advertisers measure how you utilize an advertisers site and the effectiveness of an ad. This information can then be used by advertisers to better cater to your needs. In other words, cookies help us deliver to you the types of ads in which you are more interested.
Although we believe that cookies help enhance your experience on the Web (by not repeatedly serving the same ads to you and by delivering more relevant messages to you), [x+1] does not need cookies to deliver ads to you. If you decline a [x+1] cookie, you will still be able to view ads; however, you may see the same ad repeatedly or be delivered ads that have no relevance to you.
How long is data stored?
We set our cookies to expire after 18 months and the expiration date updates every time you encounter our server. We also maintain server-side IBA data for rolling 3 month period.

[x+1] Data Collection for our Corporate Site
[x+1] uses information from our Web site log files to understand how visitors use our site and to recommend future site improvements. Personal information is also collected and used primarily for such purposes as, for example, delivering relevant content, processing a users resume, or considering alliance applications. The personal information provided in resumes and alliance applications is used to consider the eligibility of candidates. If you choose to submit personal information, we may use that information to contact you, deliver a product or service you requested, register you as a customer, develop new products and services and improve existing products and services, notify you regarding updates to our products and services, provide you with information about related products and services based on the preferences you have indicated, administer and troubleshoot our systems more efficiently, and enable billing. We may also use a users email address, name, phone number or address:

We provide a user with the opportunity to opt-out from receiving updates on new products, newsletters, and other promotional materials. You can select not to be contacted in the future if you wish to not receive any information with respect to [x+1] and our products by sending an email, with the subject heading Privacy Statement Opt-Out, to email@example.com . In the email, you should request the opt-out option. In addition, all [x+1] informational and promotional materials delivered via email include an opt-out statement.
